Catkins & Coffee will begin at 9am and run approximately one and a half hours. Hosts will give tours of their orchards and provide some history about their operations. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Orchard topics include:

• 50-acre Barcelona orchard that is being replaced with McDonald
  
• History of the fourth-generation family farm with hazelnut trees originally planted in the 1960's
  
• Using spot irrigation
• Experimental cover crops
  
• Pruning and shredding
• Ethephon, Trico Pro and Isomate Filbertworm Pheromone Ring
• Managing the long term effects of EFB
